Come to the Kidway, Where the Fun Never Ends!
Kidway hours: 10 am to 8 pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday
The Harford County Farm Fair Kidway presents an opportunity for children to enjoy hand crafted skill games, Bounce in the Moonwalk, submerge themselves in the Sea of Balls, Make-a-Button, get their face painted and walk away with prizes galore. All this is included in the price of kids entry to the Farm Fair: $3.00 for over 3-12 and under 3 FREE!
Developed
by John H. O'Neill of Forest Hill, one of the original chairmen of the revitalized
Harford County Farm Fair, the Kidway maintains its goal of entertaining children
with hand made skill games such as Mighty Man, Ring Toss, Bean Bag Toss, Milk
Can Toss, Football Toss, Dragon Slayer, Muffin Madness, Chicken in a Pot and classics
such as the Sand Box and Fish Pond. There is an opportunity to win a stuffed pig
or cow at Pik-a-Pop and take a chance with Plinko. A group of local youth volunteers
is on hand to paint an original design on your child's face or hand and creativity
flows at the Make-A-Button stand where children design their own Farm Fair souvenir
pin-on button. There is a winner every time and every child gets a prize, as many
times as they like. The Games under the Big Tent at the Kidway are complemented
by the Moon Walk inflatable bouncing room and the Sea of Balls
is a guaranteed
fun place to play-off energy.
Hourly sessions of Barnyard Bingo are offered throughout the Fair with prizes for every game. The Kidway Tent is located at the Showmobile where parents can rest and enjoy entertainment while their children make the rounds of the games.
The Farm Fair has long promoted the ideal that people can make their own fun and are committed to providing a free, non-mechanical Kidway, without the noise and expense of a Midway.
In addition to the Kidway, children of all ages enjoy the annual Farm Fair Contests held on Saturday and Sunday.
