Welcome to the 2011 Farm Fair!

The Harford County Farm Fair, Inc. welcomes you as we celebrate the 24th Annual Farm Fair from July 28-31, 2011. This annual event is held at the Harford County Equestrian Center in Bel Air.

This year, we are holding two events to kick-off Farm Fair week. On Sunday morning, July 24 at 8:00 AM, there will be a 5K Run. Then we invite you to the fairgrounds on Sunday, July 24 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM for the 1st Annual Eat Local! Buy Local! Farm Fair Food & Wine Fiesta and Farmer’s Market. There’s more information on our website (www.farmfair.org) about both of these events.

The Harford County Farm Fair, Inc. is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The mission of the Harford County Farm Fair is to promote Harford County’s agricultural heritage and encourage youth involvement in agricultural activities, particularly through the 4-H and FFA and the new Ag Magnet Program in Harford County Public Schools. We provide educational displays showing how agriculture and the conservation of natural resources are part of our daily lives.

The Farm Fair allows local residents to exhibit their home-grown vegetables and agricultural products, baked goods, crafts and needlework, photographs and artwork. We provide the opportunity for all ages to compete in pie and watermelon eating and a spelling bee. And then Kidway offers a myriad of games, entertainment, and activities for children. Be sure to see the Lone Ranger and his horse Silver, the ever-popular Dock Dogs, and the Truck and Tractor Pulls (antique and modern). There’s something happening all the time for everybody to enjoy!

The Harford County Farm Fair Board of Directors wishes to thank the many, many volunteers, corporate sponsors, and Harford County Government for their enthusiastic support and encouragement over the years. It is because of our volunteers and sponsors that we are able to continue to provide such a successful and family-oriented community event.

We invite you to attend and enjoy the 24th Annual Harford County Farm Fair and celebrate with us the outstanding achievements of the agricultural community.

Sincerely,

The Board of Directors of the Harford County Farm Fair, Inc.
