Volunteer Teams:

Ticket Booths/Entrance Gate - Responsible for selling tickets to the Fair

Minimum age requirement - 16 years
Experience with collecting $ essential
Air conditioned ticket booths
Will be standing while working

Entrance Gates/Parking - Responsible for directing cars entering Fairgrounds

Minimum age requirement - 16 years
May be seated while working
Will be outside, without cover from weather

Volunteer Tent - Responsible for greeting, keeping the registration record and directing Fair Volunteers

Minimum Age Requirement - 18 years
Required to attend Team Leader training session
Will be seated, under a tent

Cash Bingo - Assist with the Cash Bingo game to include Selling Bingo Cards, Checking Winners, Calling Numbers

Minimum Age Requirement - 16 years
Cash Bingo is held in the air conditioning Pavilion

Fine Arts - Co-Chairmen or Chairman needed to Organize the Fine Arts Division of the Fair which Includes all media of graphic arts (oil, watercolor, chalk, Pastels, etc. and Sculpture)

Take entries, organize judges
Minimum Age Requirement - 18 years
Training Available from Mary White, outgoing Chair

Volunteer Team Leader - Required to attend one (1) Training Session to Learn the responsibilities of a specific volunteer area and will become a coordinator for that area during the Farm Fair

Farm Fair Volunteer Training Sessions

Volunteer Team Leaders Required to attend one (1) session

All Sessions will be held at the Harford County Equestrian Center (Fair Grounds)

Volunteer Benefits

All Volunteers will have access to Free Water and Snacks at the Volunteer Tent and free admission to the fair on the day during which they volunteer

A food ticket will be given at the end of each 4-hour volunteer shift

Volunteers are not required to pre-register to be eligible to volunteer and for benefits

All volunteers are required to provide name, address and telephone number/email address at time of registration to volunteer

All Team Leaders must attend one (1) training session and will be given a T-shirt to wear at the Fair

All volunteers will be invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Party in October

The Harford County Farm Fair will be held July 30 through August 2, 2009

It is open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday.
